Where did you get J.C. Valentine from?
It is actually a combination of my grandmother's and great grandmother's names.

Why did you decide to use a pen name?
I wanted a way to keep my other, more tame, writing separate. This seemed like the best way to do that.
What is the next book to be published?
Lie to You followed by Fall for Him. Lie to You is slated for release on July 7th.
Will there be more books in the Night Calls series?
Yes. Night Calls was originally scheduled to be a trilogy, however, with the first book in the series being a novella, this has been extended to accommodate all the "P" named characters as well as their group of friends. I will be working on "Taming Sheila" soon. (Yes, I've been listening, and I aim to please!) I had hoped to have that out by the start of 2015, but the writing muse is fickle and I am now shooting for a Fall 2015 release.
How many books will be in the Night Calls series?
After "Taming Sheila" is done, I will end the series with a final novella featuring Poppy and Felix, which will be included in the Winter 2015 Edition of the Red Hot Anthology, for a total of 5 books.
Is 'That First Kiss' a followup of Stranded?
No. While there are some appearances by Felix and Poppy and they continue to be a part of the storyline, they are not the central characters.
Do you have plans for other series similar to Night Calls?
Yes. I have quite a few ideas and am excited to get started on them!
The Wayward Fighters series is a serial. How many books will be in it?
Originally, this series was supposed to be a lot like Night Calls, in that each book would be about a different set of fighters. However, sometimes books take on a mind of their own, and this one certainly did. Wayward Fighters will be concluded in book 2, Tapout. However, I will keep it open for more additions should the need to write them arise :)
I really liked Spencer and Olivia. Will we be seeing more of them?
Yes! unDefeated is now available! This is Spencer and Olivia's story. Look for Don's story and a "conclusion" to Ally and Jami's story, entitled Unshakable, on July 28th as part of the Red Hot Candy Anthology.
Do you ever run out of ideas for stories?
I'm happy to say no. In fact, I have too many ideas most days and live in fear of never having enough time to write them all.
Are your books available in print, or are they ebooks only?
All of my books (under Brandi Salazar and J.C. Valentine) are available in ebook and in print. They can be found on Amazon as well as this website if you are looking for a signature edition.
Why did you decide to write romance?
I feel that art imitates life and a central part of life involves sex. Although I love writing fiction in all its forms, I have always found it a struggle to cut intimate scenes from my work and in doing so, I don't feel that the connection is always as strong as it should or could be. Basically, I'm not being true to the story! So, I write the way the story dictates. Besides, steamy scenes are always fun to read, don't you think?
You write romance, but do you read it too?
Of course! I think it's funny, though, because I was always one of those girls who saw her grandma's impressive stack of regency bodice ripper romances and said, "Lord, I will never be one of those women!" And now I am. I love romance, especially paranormal romance. My first ever was the Vampire Huntress series by L.A. Banks (I miss that woman!) and I was hooked. Ms. Banks is most definitely responsible for my bone deep love of vampires :)
